2700

In 2615 Xaero Inc developed the first Terra space vator system that was an actual global network.  It was essentially 125 elevators across the globe designed to deliver payloads to points beyond the atmosphere.  These required easy access to multiple Earth orbits.  By 2630, there was enough traffic in Earth's orbit to make up the mass of three moon cities.  One could now commute in and out of orbit as part of a daily work routine.  Going to space had become uneventful.

With the general public actively involved in near earth space, which included the moon, it now became the stuff of dreams to explore the outer solar system.  Government contracts and private ventures had a long history of trips to the asteroid belt and to the moons of the giant planets, but it was still territory unknown.

The Mars group was an organization that simply kept Mars maintained for any and all business to Mars.  In stark contrast to the Moon city, Lego (Mars Facility) was created as a by product and not a deliberate marketing campaign.  By 2650, although Lego could be classified as the first Mars city, it was not considered popular to the public.  It was too industrial, a place where over worked, under payed "long term space folk"rested in the comfort of decent gravity.

The CEO of Newton Inc, the largest H2O asteroid extraction company, had close personal ties with Xaero back on Earth.  It was within this aliance that Lithiya, the "real" Mars city was born.

By the 2670's, the port between Earth and Mars could no longer be listed as singular.  It was a strip of ports that stretched evenly around it's native Sun orbit.  There were 443 ports in what was called the Klaude-Juno orbit, named after the first giant port.  Without the KJ ports, the mining and movement of asteroid materials to the Earth in mass quantities was impossible.  The ports housed fleets of ships, rock cutters, landers, human beings, and millions of tons of pure asteroid rock and water.  It is important to note that after 220 of the ports were mass produced and set to motion, the rest of the KJ ports were fit with a spin rim.  It was a luxury proposed by Newton Inc.  The spin rims were GHS systems which matched Earth gravity precisely.

Back on Earth, within the political spectrum, recruitment firms were being blasted by an assortment of political strong armers within the Human-Earth platform.  The largest recruiter was Grace Inc.  They made money by hiring what were to be nick named space horses; people who survived remarkably well in zero gravity.  There was no job interview.  It was a lab test.

2550-2600

To fully understand the political platform called Transparencies, one must first realize paradigm shift in education that took place in the 2200's.  Orientation was a concept that shed light on where and when we exist in our universe.  Geological time, Evolutionary time, and Civilization time made up the time scales.  Universe, Clusters, Galaxies, and stars made up the location scales.  In essence, Orientation Education sought to enlighten children as to our place and time within a larger scope.

As the reform reached into and beyond the decades, it was to be looked back upon as a marvelous shift in human consciousness; it's founders idolized.  While the platform of Human-Earth held fast to principals of what it means to be human, Transparencies simply argued that these principals were subject to change and have always changed; that the definition of the modern human was a cultural ideal.

For Colt, the Sun system was a fresh opportunity for reaping quick gains and leaps in power.  The Legacy organization was a threat because it had a vested interest in gravitational supports; would go to great lengths to lobby for a mandate.  This mandate would require him, by law, to purchase Spin System and the like, products in order to maintain his operations in discoveries.

Up until 2575 both Juno and Legacy were the dominant pioneers of the Sun System.  Colt was said to have taken political shots at every opportunity.  In much the same way Juno and Legacy were enemies in the Sun System, Human-Earthers and The Transparencies were enemies on the ground.

The greatest of ironies, in the beginning of the intellectual wars, was the fact that it's mother and father figures, Claudia and Colt were to suddenly meet face to face in a diplomatic effort.  Perhaps they realized that the polarization of the citizens would escalate into violence.  Or was it a game?  There were said to have been encrypted communications within the litigations, messages of kindness, from person of extreme power to another.  Was it possible that Colt and Claudia had been carrying about litigations and sabotage against the other, all while sharing a mutual affection. In 2590 there were to meet face to face and begin one of the most publicized sexual affairs of all time.  By 2600, for his own health, Colt had moved in with Claudia, ironically living in a large scale GHS produced by Spin Systems.  On Earth, they were referred to, in a joking manner, as the God King and Queen of the Sun System.  Their love seemed to create a temporary relief from the issues that would plague the politics of the 2600's and beyond.

2500-2550

Within thity years of the completion of the first phase of the midway-port between Earth and Mars (Klaud-Juno), it narrowly escaped what appeared to be complete sabotage.  The Juno company, a leader in discoveries had sought out to launch a political attack on a triage of the Human-Earth agendas.  Members of the Human-Earth party were of the platform that sought to create a human definition.  The idea, in its simplest form, was to pay homage to the types of humans that were natural Earth offspring.  The conflict emerged when a separate think-tank called Legacy began to publicly question the intentions of various private firms.  Brian Phillips, the head of Juno, saw these publications as a threat to his discoveries program.

Prior to 2525, Legacy did not hold a significant connection in its relationship to the Human-Earth platfrom.  It did however utilize their texts for political gain.  Claudia Sherm was called the "Princess of Energy hardware".  She'd become the head of a company called Spin Systems.  Spin Systems was a GHS (Gravitational Hospitable Support) entity.  Their roots began in providing small spin systems that created a false gravity.  These were Earth orbiters that existed solely for the very early space sports entertainment industry.  By 2500, they'd diversified their contracts so much that they'd become a political contender, the poster child for Legacy.

It is easy now to look back upon these unfolding events as a kind of stage play, the obvious spin-offs of a drama; the "Manifest Destiny" to populate the Sun System.  What if High End had been led by strong-armers?  What if Moon City residents had organized and lobbied to become an adversarial force against High End?  Could this have led to aggression?  In light of a stewing intellectual holocaust, how would these conflicts play out.  Could there have been blood so early?  Could the population of the Sun System have been snuffed out in it's very origins.  It was a question left for the ages.

The primary cause for Juno's attack against Human-Earthers was an alliance that became obvious between Spin Systems and Legacy.  Brian-Phillips viewed the alliance as a marketing ploy, a push to mandate Spin System's products or similar products to such a degree, it would limit Juno's ability to explore the Sun System via regulation.  Therefore, he intern launched the "Free Space" campaign.  The mission statement spoke to the effect of limiting legislation on private firms in space.

In 2520 a arm of Legacy had begun to explore the asteroid belt.  Within a month, a rogue asteroid drifted so close to the Klaud-Juno, that the port was temporarily pulled, by sheer gravity, out of it's native Sun orbit.  There is no way to know if this was an attack by Sherm and Legacy or if in fact it was simply "bad luck"  For twenty years, Juno would be tied up in legislation against Legacy.  Brian-Phillip's son, Colt Phillips, would inherit the company in 2544.  In doing so, Colt was to inherit the missteps of his father.

The Free Space campaign, by attacking the Human-Earthers had become a loaded adversary of the majority in its genesis.  Colt would redirect the Free Space campaign with measures of a much more precise trajectory, directly at Legacy and Spin Systems.

Much like the Human-Earthers, there existed a platform called Transparencies.  This school of thought was of 2200 educational roots.  It's fore fathers were founders of early academia, the founders of "Orientation Education" which was revolutionary in it's reform to the public school system.  As a result, it was considered to be a respectable agent for people of Earth. It was inherently good.  Colt would cultivate friendships within this platform and in essence align himself with a voice of good; for the people. Under the safe cover of this voice, Colt could continue his father's bidding of derailing Human-Earthersm allowing him to adjust his Free Space campaign directly at Legacy.  He was said to be, "addicted to crazy."

2500

Central among the conflicts during the approaching half point of the millennium was what was to be later known as the "intellectual wars." The pervasive mindset for the past 500 hundred years was a doomsday inevitability. It was accepted that, despite the prosperity of the Earth, due to mass volume energy, there was to be in fact a grand collapse; a colossal melt down. Now it seemed a fading cultural misnomer. Susan Polgan, a famous Anthropologist wrote, "Human beings will become bored of peace and happiness."

To make the counter argument, that the world would be conflict free, was to suppose that wealthy parents would automatically rear emotionally healthy offspring. Thus the intellectual wars began. Most notably, it started with space athletes. We'd observed a genetic component that allowed some individuals to live longer and deteriorate less quickly in space. This was a quiet subject, often written off because it was a sports issue. In hind sight, it was an issue of fear and avoidance.

By now, around 2440, High End had become an umbrella of public and private agencies. Public domains included data preservation, humanist philosophies, and space/time research. Private domains included entertainment, travel, raw space materials, and discoveries. The argument was born out of a simple engineering debate. When building livable environments in space, how much effort should be placed on supporting the traditional human body. Conservatives argued that promoting individuals based upon a genetic component was eugenics; would change what it meant to be human. The other side listed cost relevance as a side point, although it was clearly the primary reasoning. Their political platform was a historical argument; that collectively, human beings would not displace their humanity for progressive agendas. They pointed to the fact that newspapers and books were still around.

In this case, "might makes right" won the battle. Therefore, more effort was placed on selective hiring based upon the genetic component. To build gravitational supports, was simply less efficient within the "timelines." Many were pissed.

By 2480, High End's consortium of offspring had come together to build a small fleet of rock cutters. These space ships were built with two revolutionary tools, high speed capabilities, allowing them to get to the asteroid belt within weeks, and a "claw and cut" system, allowing them to pick out asteroids and cut them for materials. An orbit was selected at the midpoint between Earth and Mars. By 2500 the main body of the Port between Earth and Mars was complete. Back on Earth, the intellectual wars had ignited into a full scale intellectual brawl.

2400

The 2300's marked an era of premature conquest. Commercial operations out to Mars were limited to educational programing, research, and a kind of idealism, often the result of space ego centrics with money to burn.

On the Earth, the skyline was changing. The 2200's had marked a global resourcefulness. With the freedomization of energy, along with the high production of synthetic metallics, a new kind of sky scraper was born. These dwarfed the buildings of the 2100's. They towered to heights along the levels of the cumulous clouds, thin and strong. By 2340, this type of building was common place in major cities.

In 2342, a company called High End developed an orbiting power plant so large, it was said to be the first orbiting city. It was not a city, however, but an industrial mass production source of raw energy. Efficiencies in solar paneling had developed exponentially over the last 300 years and High End would need it. As a note worthy point, High End was developed from a consortium of companies. It would serve both government and private contracts in order to lay the ground work of what would be the first and arguably the only relevant stratosphere level aerospace network. High End did not seek to put their crafts into orbit but instead maintain a fleet of inner atmosphere transports.

Just like Moon City, High End had a brain child. He was not an engineer or an energy brat, but a marketing genius. In it's simplest form, he vocalized that the Earth had been left behind by whimsical space waste. He referred to "Moon City" as a looney bin for eccentrics and the "premature ejaculations of space elitists" He called those who failed to capitalize the letter E, when writing the word Earth, spoiled children, space gays, and prissy whinny bitches. In this way, he brought High End directly to the fore front of all of the Earth people. In this way, he raised money.

Only with an understanding of where High End came from can one begin to understand the magnitude of what High End did. It was a network of aerial crafts that served to transport goods, services, and people who lived on the Earth. It used by principal, only non-terra energy (energy produced in Earth orbit space). The crafts would never land on the ground. To board a High End craft, one would simply have to go to one of manny stations that only existed at the tops of buildings of certain heights. A shortage of these, there were none.

By 2400 the standard runway airplane was fit for museums alone. Moving from point to point on the Earth, was easy. High End had filled the skies.

2300

The moon campaign was part of a renaissance and was also THE catalyst for the renaissance. By 2250 there was to be a luxurious new city. For lack of a better name, it was to be called "Moon City". Romantics referred to it as Moon City One, part of the new "Lunar Renaissance".

The structural component of the city would be nearly entirely built or derived from lunar materials. The board of directors for the project wound up being so large that it's drama was fully broadcast for the sake of transparencies. As a byproduct, the entertainment value of the board very nearly overshadowed the mission. This was perceived as propaganda by the hardline science party who attempted to push for limited broadcast exposure. They argued it would trivialize the mission. This stance was political suicide simply because the unfolding drama was a uniting force. There were no significant oppositions to the Moon City.

By 2225, construction was underway. It was a global initiative that finally put a spotlight on our moon contractors. These men and women became overnight heros, politicians, "moon folk". In 2250, right on schedule, the arrivals began. Phase one of the moon city was officially open.

The first residence of the moon were not allowed to bring or have children. It was widely agreed that living on the moon was a choice, that it was dangerous, a medical nightmare to the human body. Therefore, it was considered abusive. Living on the moon was widely accepted as a risky lifestyle. Despite the attempted creation of an Earthlike Atmosphere within the domes, one could not avoid the problem of lesser gravity and compounding orbital rhythmic syndromes. Measures of survival had to be utilized in the same frequency as all of the prior contractors who had ever lived on the moon.

All activity, outside of private residences, on the moon was recorded and broadcasted for viewing by anyone on Earth or the moon. We watched in horror as individuals deteriorated. It was entertainment at it's best. On the other hand, there was little regulation on those who did not want to stay on the moon. As a consequence, residential property was often vacant. These vacancies would be bartered and leased frequently, to the annoyance of all.

As the excitement of having residence on the moon wore thin, there was a natural evolution that took place without mandate. There was a certain type of person that carried about with a Lunar cause. Typically this person(s) would be a contractor, family of a contractor, someone with commercial interest, scientists, students, and persons with direct commercial interests.
The remainders were wealthy romantics and philosophers. Never the less, the moon city had to grow. In essence it was to become a port, the gateway to the Sun System.

2200

Engagements around the Earth became frequent by 2120. One or two medium sized ports orbiting the earth led way to very early outbound solar system traffic. This was not their bread and butter. The ports primarily functioned as multifunctional leasing hosts to public and private industry; those with logistical needs for Earth bound traffic. Some of these domains included energy, government contracting, tourism, medical, zero gravity sports, and raw materials.

Within the government contracts existed a vein of bids for mid range solar system research. These called for frequent trips to the moon and Mars. By 2150 there were crews of individuals who worked and lived on both the moon and Mars. Disease and illness, including insanity made the top news of the day. Dramas played out on Mars eerily similar to the speculations of the movies of the prior century.

The moon was a mixed bag of leftover dreams. The dreamt up resorts and colonies were instead replaced with a junkyard wasteland of unfunded projects and dated technology. Still it was of significant usage. It was to become a grand port. It was the moon.

Around the 2190's, a campaign was set forth to restore the moon. This was a marketing ploy. Prior to then, the moon was publicized and broadly spoken of as a junk yard. Efforts to market the moon were an inside joke among contractors who lived and worked there. It was a pipe dream. The dream was heard.

2000-2100 Manifest Destiny

The youth of the 2,000's were arguably not privy to the excitement held by those birthed in the 1900's through the 1970's. Those years were a turmoil of grand leaders in conflict. It was the story of industrialization, wars, and the birth of the computer. It was a step on the moon.

The successful kids of the 2020's held classical educations of the epic prior century but it was anti climactic. There was no shortage of problems to solve. The business of moving information via bits and bytes was the rail road industry to new money. Online records and logs of these events was simply a byproduct of a new and fun thing; not fully realized by the current population as having an immeasurable historical significance.

By 2050, global initiatives had shifted into respectability. Green business and countries were counted in. To be counted out was a future of misery and irrelevance. Energy was widely seen as an unlimited resource. The position against it was indefensible and this was to become a standard of broad education. It opened the market of clean energy hardware. The companies who met the shift survived. These were energy brats. The ceos were children who'd accepted the losses that burdened their fathers, but invested in a new brand of thought that did not seek to sell energy but freedomize it... or rather sell us the hardware.
Private industry had a viable presence in orbital space. Large shuttle launches were archaic but looked back upon as heroic and necessary. The writers of the day payed tribute and respect to the early heros of space-flight. To view the earth from a point of zero gravity was like taking a cruise in the Mediterranean. Aerospace in the 2080's was not the aerospace of 2010. It was a cord struck by the entertainment industry. It was a cultural meeting of the minds by the children of new energy, those who'd idolized the movies of the 2030's. The visionaries in the industry of the 2090's were a part of (and wanted to be a part of) what the movies of the 2030's had supposed to be the natural course; a kind of solar system "Manifest Destiny"
